Lead Relationship Business Banking
Mission
Within the Business Banking organization: Leads the Relationship Banking segment for strategic SME & Mid Corporate Banking clients, in line with the overall strategy of ING Business Banking Segment.
The Lead Relationship Business Banking is therefore responsible for developing the value proposition for the Relationship business Banking distribution model for strategic clients with the target to optimize client experience, cost efficiency and with a strong focus on income generation and increase of primary relations.
Your main responsibilities:
- Responsible for commercial and operational KPI’s for the Relationship Banking segment in line with the overall strategy and Dynamic Plan of the Business Banking segment Lead the team of Relationship Business Bankers and Account Managers
- Responsible for implementing the acquisition and lending strategy of the Relationship Banking segment with a focus on strategic sectors-clients with complex needs and high income potential
- Organize and facilitate collaboration within the teams of Relationship Business Bankers and Account Managers together with the, Personal Banking, Retail Mass and Private Banking teams in order to meet and develop selected strategic customers
- Craft and develop a cross-sell/upsell strategy for service professionals in the organization that will drive the most value for customers and drive revenue for the organization.
- Responsible to ensure that each employee active in the Relationship Business Banking segment is appropriately trained
- Manage and report on performance within the area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
- Support the Head of Business Banking in operational and strategic projects for the Business Banking segment as well as in the communication and collaboration with the Global Business Banking Head Office Team (Functional Line)
- Responsible to ensure that applicable (internal and external) standards, regulations, policies and processes are communicated and observed by all employees
- Maintain an appropriate risk and control structure and ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are duly complied
- Take appropriate credit decisions within his/her credit mandate
- Represent ING Luxembourg in external events and in national working groups
Job Requirements
- Education: University degree - preferably in Economics;
- Experience: professional experience (min. 5 years) in relevant banking areas and atleast 3 years in a management position;
- Professional qualifications / training: relevant professional training in banking; business strategies; management & leadership.
- Language proficiency: French, English. Knowledge of Luxemburgish is an advantage.
- Knowledge: market challenges, trends and opportunities; strong economics and financial knowledge.
- Competencies: strategic leadership, strategic thinking, entrepreneurship, ease of client contacts, act as a change agent, goal oriented, high standards of performance, managing performance, managing process, managing and developing people.
