About the Reporting Team

The Client Reporting team is responsible for servicing the reporting needs of Orbis’ institutional clients. This includes maintaining, validating, and improving recurring bespoke reports that are sent to our clients monthly, quarterly, and annually. We are also responsible for responding to data-driven queries from institutional clients, prospects, and consultants. This requires an in-depth knowledge of various aspects of Orbis’ investment strategies and an ability to present detailed, technical information in an easy-to-understand format.

We service Orbis’ global client base and have team members located in Canada, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and Australia. The team is empowered - and expected - to have a direct impact in our regional institutional client efforts to attract and retain clients though exceptional client servicing. You will be working closely with various teams across Orbis’ 10 global offices, and with senior management, to make a difference for our clients.

As a Client Reporting Associate, you can expect to:
Be a specialist focusing on regulatory reporting deliverables, while also contributing to the global Client Reporting team by providing accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders.

Regulatory Reporting- Lead regulatory reporting deliverables across multiple jurisdictions including: UK, Bermuda, South Africa, Luxembourg, US and Australia. You will produce information that is distributed to clients and/or regulatory bodies. For instance, you may:
- Generate precise client marketing documentation such as the KIIDs and MDDs;-
- Draft, validate and distribute monthly regulatory reporting directly to external clients such as MiFID costings, tax and audit statements; and-
- Produce GIPS Compliant Reports and facilitate the annual GIPS verification process.-
- Working with internal Orbis teams to understand our regulatory requirements across the multiple jurisdictions, assess our offerings, propose changes where appropriate, and ensuring that we are continuing to meet reporting requirements.- Initiating and lead small and large-scale projects aimed at addressing upcoming regulatory changes.

Regular Reporting- Provide fund and client reporting to internal and external clients, ensuring its accuracy and timely delivery.- Liaise with investors and ensure all stakeholder queries are answered in a timely manner.- Work with IT developers to ensure that the necessary tools are available to address risk of errors and seek opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.

About You- You possess exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills and can break down complex matters in a clear and concise manner.- You are interested in keeping up with financial regulations across multiple jurisdictions and investigating / understanding their impact on Orbis and Fund Operations.- You care about the details and can pick up new concepts quickly.- You adopt a growth mindset and continuously look for ways to learn and improve.- You are self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.- You have outstanding personal ethics and a client-centric attitude.

Qualifications / Experience:
- 2 - 5 years of relevant professional experience.-
- Professional designation (CPA, CFA or equivalent professional qualifications).- Prior regulatory experience is strongly preferred but not strictly necessary, however, a keen interest in the industry and knowledge of the regulatory environment, securities industry and market practices would be an asset.- Entirely fluent in written and spoken English.
