Description

The Test Specialist is responsible for organizing and running internal and external tests of the company’s IT systems and tools.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle;
- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements in cooperation with end-users;
- Prepare test cases based on business requirements, historical data and prior experience;
- Prepare test environments for tests performed by other departments;
- Execute all levels of testing (functional, integration, regression, etc.);
- Run non-functional tests;
- Detect and track defects and inconsistencies;
- Report defects and follow up on the issues until resolved;
- Report on test progress and write test reports;
- Assist with troubleshooting.

Must Have Requirements

**Academic profile**:

- Minimum 2-year post-secondary school degree in an IT field;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- ISTQB certification would be an advantage.

**Experience**:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in one or more of the following:

- IT or testing-related job;
- Customer support;
- International and multicultural environment.

**Core skills**:
Technical:

- General knowledge about IT systems and networks;
- Knowledge of testing IT systems;
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Working knowledge of test management software;
- Working knowledge of bug tracking software;
- Knowledge of XML/SQL/scripting or programming languages would be an advantage;
- Able to multitask and to work autonomously;
- Able to work well as part of a team;
- Strong analytical skills.

**Additional requirement**:
In accordance with the Luxembourg law of 23 July 2016 (as amended), the successful applicant will be required to show a clean **criminal record** before signing the employment contract.
