Our client is is a bespoke entity management and investment solution which collaborates with an investment advisor to funds which invest in Real Estate, Private Equity and other asset types across the globe. These entities work together to actively manage assets for long term developments.

By being employees of the funds, there is an inherent owner mindset which helps drive an exceptional level of care and focus on risks; to ensure a first-class service and keeps investors interests paramount.

As a coordinator you will support the team, various stakeholders and the Management in dealing with the day-to-day activities and administrative consequences of doing AIFMD impacted deals with specific deadlines towards the depositary.
- Be the coordinator between the Luxembourg based Depository, the AIFM based in US and the AIFM’s organization located in various global hubs to comply with AIFMD requirements;
- Coordinate ownership confirmation with deal teams, investment compliance with deal controllers and submission of transaction documents sourced from local representatives;
- As documents will be delivered from jurisdictions around the globe, within the capabilities and limitations of that particular jurisdiction, the role requires insight and ability to interpret documentation with the aim of the AIFM directive in mind;
- Be the liaison between the various stakeholders, circumventing language barriers, overcoming cultural differences, assisting in multi jurisdiction legal interpretations;
- Together with the senior manager attending a quarterly base KPI meeting with the appointed depositary bank in their premises to discuss potential strategies to implement and escalation and/or action to take.
- Relevant work experience of +/-3 years in the AIFMD, compliance or corporate law fields;
- Knowledge and understanding of the concept of maintaining, holding and financing structures;
- Eager to learn, independent, flexible attitude, sense of ownership, able to work in a team as well as autonomously;
- Understands client relationships, communicates with confidence and diplomacy;
- Is able to gradually grow into a pivotal point between the depositary and the AIFM, while translating the purpose served by the AIFM directive and the documents to substantiate AIFMD based requests;
- Is able to oversee the collection of documents from several parties from multiple jurisdictions in relation to global investments that are made by multiple Real Estate investment funds;
- Is fluent in English, verbally and in writing. Any other language will be an asset, especially French and/or German.
