Supervisor, Engineering

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our power drive systems engineering team as a Supervisor System Development Team Sensors, Actuators and Application Sensors, Actuators and Application, at our Bascharage, Luxembourg technical center.

She or he is technical and organizational responsible for the system development team.

The supervisor has the responsibility support the European customer projects.

Job Location: Bascharage, Luxembourg

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the team technically
- Align with project managers on project resources
- Set up / support in setting up work instructions
- Support the team to implement work instructions
- Discuss outcome and implement improvement actions
- Implement KPIs and report status to management coach the team members technical
- Plan trainings
- Participate in customer escalations
- Manage the team organizational
- Perform performance reviews in alignment with technical leaders (if applicable)
- Support merit discussions based on performance
- Manage team members organizational topics, e.g. vacation
- Be the counterpart for team members
- Plan employees’ personal development, e.g. goal setting
- Contribute to process, method, and tool improvements

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
- Engineering degree in Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronic/ Mechanics or similar
- 7+ years of experience in Automotive Mechatronic Systems Engineering; e-Mobility is a benefit.
- First (technical) leadership experience
- Intercultural, communication and team players skills are mandatory.
- Very good knowledge in system development processes, methods, and tools
- Understanding of vehicle Inverter and e-Machine systems requirements (electrical machine control) and concepts
- Good knowledge in Functional Safety and ISO26262
- Basic knowledge in Cyber Security and ISO/SAE21434
- Experienced in customer contact
- Fluency in English is required, French or German is an advantage
