**Your Role...**:
Reporting to the new Vice-rector for partnerships and international relations, the advisor will give independent and active support to the vice-rector in strategic and operational issues. Together with the Vice-rector, the advisor will develop and implement relevant strategies and measures and act as an important interface between internal and external entities.
As a key member of the VRP’s team, the advisor contributes to advance internationalization, partnership and innovation goals, and fosters academic and operational excellence throughout the University of Luxembourg.
- Seek good practices and provide international benchmarking for UL’s goals, enabling new initiatives as well as procedures and processes related to internationalization, partnership and innovation, in coordination with the International Relations Office, the Office of Partnerships, Knowledge and Technology Transfer, the University Incubator, and Faculties and Interdisciplinary Centres;
- Issue advice and keep the Vice-rector abreast of relevant national, European and international initiatives in her portfolios at request or at own initiative and prepare decision proposals;
- Build strong relationships and credibility within the rectorate, with senior academic and administrative staff across the University, working collaboratively to advance goals and to foster academic and operational excellence throughout the institution;
- Contribute to the coordination of committees and/or working groups across the University and from key external agencies;
- Manage and contribute to the periodic and ad hoc production of reports, presentations and/or publications to internal and/or external stakeholders on strategic issues.
**What we expect from you**:
- A master or equivalent is mandatory; a PhD in one of the scientific disciplines of the University is an asset;
- Deep knowledge of the Luxembourg research and innovation ecosystem is essential; knowledge of international higher education policy and practice highly appreciated;
- Knowledge of the European context for higher education, research and innovation;
- Proven track record in project management and concept writing;
- Ability to analyse, use and present complex data effectively;
- Demonstrated integrity, excellent judgement and diplomacy, and well-developed oral and written communication skills, allowing you to handle sensitive issues while maintaining the respect and confidentiality of all parties;
- Team-oriented and comfortable in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment;
- Proficiency with modern office software, spreadsheets and collaborative platforms;
- Excellent command of French and English; German or Luxembourgish are a plus;
- Open-minded, proactive, able to multi-task and able to work autonomously;
- Welcoming and service-oriented attitude.
