Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is a rapidly growing, global operation unit, which significantly impacts the customer experience.
ATS Scheduling Team is responsible for the creation, publication and management of Surface Transportation schedules to plan inventory matching the trucking needs of our customers’ demands ensuring that there, managing the plan for the entire EU network including UK and Brexit flows.

The team is looking for a Line Haul Planner, Scheduling expected to manage the requirements for a specific scheduling program such as Brexit, milk runs, Sea, etc. and is tasked with gathering the business requirements to build scalable processes while supporting with the identification of technical requirements for development of prototypes and products where required. Ability to dive-deep, analyze to promote process improvement and solving complex problems.

Key job responsibilities
The Line Haul Planner, Scheduling requires good analytical, communication, dive -deep and collaboration skills to deliver against the aforementioned responsibilities successfully. These skills allow the Planner to identify process improvement opportunities and drive solutions within ATS ST space. Also, the Planner requires the ability to create the trust by sustaining best practices in process and program implementation, ensuring all changes are fully aligned and visible to the impacted teams, and influence the large multitude of stakeholders across various cross-functional teams such as ATS Ops, ROC, AMZL, FCs, SCs etc.

A day in the life
Line Haul Planner role and responsibility consists in managing an existing scheduling program/process with a defined roadmap, but delivering difficult projects aligned with the scheduling team’s vision of schedule quality improvement, automation and scalability. The Planner streamlines existing scheduling processes and identifies solutions faced by our internal customers, for which the team owns the Surface Transportation schedules. In this role, the Planner works on solving complex scheduling-related operational problems related to constraints, demand and supply

About the team
ATS Scheduling Team is responsible for the creation, publication and management of Surface Transportation schedules to plan inventory matching the trucking needs of our customers’ demands ensuring that there, managing the plan for the entire EU network including UK and Brexit flows. Schedulers work with POCs from various orgs such as AMZL, CF, etc. to bring about continuous improvements in scheduling processes. Each Line Haul Planner is expected to manage the requirements for a specific scheduling program such as Brexit, milk runs, Sea, Inter-Model & ReLO etc. and is tasked with gathering the business requirements to build scalable processes.
