The Role

As a Compliance Coordinator, you act as a 2nd line and will be responsible for supporting the rollout and operationalisation of Compliance projects and initiatives across Europe, in coordination with local or European change teams and the Risk function. You will also assist in the implementation and monitoring of the compliance framework and processes and metrics, as well as providing guidance and advice to business stakeholders on compliance matters.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage compliance and regulatory projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that the project objectives, scope, and deliverables are clearly defined and agreed upon.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, audit, and risk, to ensure alignment and collaboration on project requirements, expectations, and dependencies.
- Monitor and control project progress, quality, and risks, and proactively identify and resolve issues and escalate as needed.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, risk registers, and change requests, and ensure compliance with the company's project management methodology and tools.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with project sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders, and provide timely and accurate project updates and feedback.
- Evaluate and measure project performance and outcomes, and conduct lessons learned and post-implementation reviews.
- Support the continuous improvement of the compliance and regulatory project management processes and practices and contribute to the development and maintenance of the project management standards, policies, and templates.

Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in compliance, regulatory, or financial services domains.
- Familiarity and understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks and requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex and technical information to various audiences and levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work across different time zones and cultures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage with different level stakeholders.
- Oral and written English skills at a very high level are essential - Ability to speak and write in Portuguese will be a significant advantage and knowledge of French, German, Dutch and/or Spanish will be valued.
