The IT for Innovative Services (ITIS) department, with its 100 researchers and engineers, focuses on the digital transformation of operations in organizations with traditional environments and digital ecosystems, with the aim of improving their performance and innovation capacity. The common thread throughout ITIS is to develop the most efficient use of big data to ensure the most appropriate decision-making processes.

The department relies on the Data Analytics Platform: a hybrid infrastructure covering the entire range of data analytics activities. The platform is based on three pillars: a high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, a cognitive analytics pillar and an interactive visualization wall (Viswall).

With the miniaturization of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, more and more wearables devices are getting to market. The Active aGeing And Personalized service's Ecosystem (AGAPE) project seized this advent to deploy these wearables among the elderly people for their health monitoring. This monitoring allows caregivers to provide personalized services and training to elderly people according to their needs. The AGAPE platform will be deployed and tested throughout Europe (Italy, Portugal, Romania) on more than 90 elderly adults.

In this context, LIST and its technical partners are in charge of designing, delivering and maintaining a comprehensive solution that will promote socialization, physical activity, health literacy and innovation adoption among elder adults.

**Responsibilities**:
**How will you contribute?**:
Within the framework of this internship, you will collaborate in:

- Making a state-of-the-art of tools and techniques of IoT data collection for healthcare
- Implementing a data pipeline to store monitoring data in time series database
- Developing a web-based dashboard for data visualizations

Must Have Requirements
**Education**
- You are currently enrolled in a master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

**Experience and skills**
- Programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript
- Experience in API development
- Notion of database management (knowledge of SQL is compulsory, NOSQL is an added value)
- Notion of machine-to-machine communication protocol (MQTT, HTTP)
- Proactive and source of proposals

**Language skills**
- Fluent in English, French is considered as an asset
