The **Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) **is a **research **centre** for the study, analysis and public dissemination of contemporary history of Luxembourg and Europe with a particular focus on digital methods and tools for doing innovative historical research. It serves as a catalyst for **innovative** and **creative** scholarship and new forms of public dissemination and societal engagement with history.

Your role is to support the researchers of C2DH in the realisation of the Centre's projects by facilitating the project deliverables within the expected or agreed conditions and deadlines. Embedded in a committed team, you will advocate the use of best practices in project management and report directly to the C2DH Head of Operations. You will also liaise with central services of the University of Luxembourg and partnering institutions. We expect you to handle deadlines, produce reports (including budgets), anticipate risks and manage daily issues in order to facilitate effective project execution. Close collaboration with the Principal Investigators is key and a problem-solving mind-set is requested. In your day-to-day business you will collect, manage, and update data related to the Centre’s projects and KPIs. In a strategic perspective, your goal is to effectively support and facilitate the execution of the varied C2DH research portfolio. Concretely, the job includes the following tasks:
- Development of project execution plans
- Documentation and monitoring of project progress
- Updating and adjustment of data (including budget, HR, milestones and deliverables)
- Production of reports (ad hoc; monthly; final) for Principal Investigators and funding bodies
- Ensure project accountabilityand the respect of budget frames
- Draft and follow-up operationally on communication regarding the project
- Facilitate communication between relevant stakeholders and partners (e.g. Researchers, Project Owners, Research Facilitators, Financial Controllers, Administrative Assistants, colleagues of central departments and offices)
- Facilitate the management of public tenders in close collaboration with the dedicated central services
- Close collaboration with the financial controller and research facilitator in daily execution of the job
**What we expect from you**:
- Master’s degree or equivalent by work experience
- Solid experience in project management involving multiple stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate methodological, organised, pragmatic and effective approaches to the work
- Demonstrated budget monitoring skills; experience in managing projects funded in foreign currencies could be an asset
- Demonstrated integrity, excellent judgement and diplomacy, and well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Team-oriented and comfortable in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Proficiency with modern office software, spreadsheets and collaborative platforms
- Open-minded, proactive, and service-oriented attitude and autonomous judgement
- Excellent command of English and French, fluency in German is an asset, Luxemburgish is a plus
