The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies.
**How will you contribute?**:
You will be mainly in charge of:
- Engaging in various phases of module development and testing, gaining a broad understanding of 5G NR V2X communication standards protocols.
- Developing simulation modules that adhere to 5G NR V2X standards and specifications.
- Designing and implementing models in OMNeT++ to replicate real-world 5G NR V2X communication scenarios.
- Conducting simulations to analyze the performance of 5G NR V2X under various network conditions, including using performance metrics such as latency, throughput, and reliability to evaluate the effectiveness of the module.
- Validating the accuracy and reliability of simulation results against known benchmarks, and / or collaborating with senior engineers to refine models and ensure adherence to existing standards.
**Education**
- Currently enrolled in a program related to Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
**Experience and skills**
- Experience with OMNeT++, C++, and familiarity with V2X communication protocols and 5G NR standards is a plus
**Language skills**
- Good level both written and spoken English
