This role is within the Compliance and AFC Luxembourg advisory team covers a wide array of Compliance and AFC tasks. You will assist the team in the different tasks described below.
The team covers all DB businesses in Luxembourg (i.e. Wealth Management (around 2/3 of the activities) and Corporate and Investment Bank (Global Transaction Banking, Syndicated Loans and Global Markets)).
Key tasks responsibilities of the local team:
- Assisting the team and Team Head in all AFC relevant matters
- Conducting daily AFC tasks including, but not limited to negative list checks / embargo related investigations as well as namelist screenings and name search inquiries
- AML relevant transaction monitoring including coordination with front offices
- Supporting and advising business divisions on daily AFC matters
- Assisting on reviews and sign-offs of KYCs + on AFC projects
- Act as a direct contact point to raise concerns in a confidential environment in relation to AFC matters when improper activities are suspected
- Build a culture of AFC awareness
- Supporting in reporting to local as well as Group Senior Management
- Cooperating with AFC colleagues in Luxembourg and acting as backup during absences.
- Contribute to the operation of select controls e.g., participating in New Product Approval process by reviewing new business initiatives for consistency with regulatory requirements and reviewing marketing material against minimum standards.
- Ensure global and local Compliance policies and procedures are reviewed and updated on a timely basis, incorporating regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular compliance monitoring, considering an array of contextual data including regulation, policies, procedures, controls, training, and governance structures, escalating, and assisting in the remediation of any identified gaps
**Requirements**:
- Student in the field of economics / business management
- Flexibility, personal initiative, structured working
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Very good English language skills, further language skills are an advantage
