We are working with our client, a UCITS Management Company, in searching for a Fund Controller to join the team. You will oversee various funds, reviewing financial statements, managing relationships with service providers and liaising with audit findings/firms. This is a role where you will provide business support and financial governance in addition to the audit and reporting oversight functions, working in the business for fixed term of 12 months.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and develop relationships with 3rd party administrators and auditors relating to the financial reporting elements of the funds domiciles (Europe and offshore), overseeing their performance, reviewing KPIs and completing due diligence questionnaires
- Review financial statements and annual reports
- Coordinate the annual reporting cycle for the funds
- Work with the external auditor, providing assistance
- Where possible improve processes and templates relating to funds financial statements
- Coordinate preparation of Long form reports
- Act as point of contact relating to IFRS queries (and Lux GAAP)
- Provide governance on the ManCo - reporting responsibilities for the Board, Conducting Officer, Depositary review, regulatory filings.
- Review regulatory implications impacting the funds
- Act as an important member of the internal control function for the ManCo
- Assist on projects relating to regulations or business change
- 4-8 years of experience working with UCITS funds (or Hedge funds)
- Strong practical knowledge of the Luxembourg market including the regulations suitable to UCITS funds
- Big 4 experience a plus
- Good knowledge of IFRS is required due to the specific funds
- Good IT (Excel) skills are an advantage
- Fluent English language is essential
- ACCA qualification preferred
- Some project management and fund accounting experience is very useful
