The **Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB)** is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease and their contributing factors.

**Your Role...**:
You will be responsible for carrying out LC- and GC-based experiments in several research projects, which deal with the role of cellular metabolism in different iPSC-derived model systems of genetic PD. Moreover, you will be involved in cell culture maintenance and differentiation work within the framework of these projects.
To do so, you will have the following tasks and accountabilities:
- Support of cell culture activities (cell lines, primary cells, iPSC maintenance and differentiation)
- Standard molecular biology (Bradford, ELISA, Western blotting, immunocytochemistry) and mitochondrial function (Seahorse technology, colorimetric dyes, enzyme kinetics with spectrophotometry etc.) assays
- Real-time PCR, sequencing, cloning of plasmids and viral constructs
- Contribution to general laboratory organization (ordering, overseeing of stocks, storage, preparation of solutions etc.)
**What we expect from you**:
- Master’s degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or another similar life science-related discipline
- Strong background in metabolic biochemistry, enzymology, and molecular biology
- Experience with cell culture, ideally with iPSC-derived cellular models
- Experience in mass spectrometry, preferably in a metabolomics setting
- Keen interest in investigating the molecular basis of neurodegenerative and neurometabolic diseases
- Strong motivation to contribute specific parts to larger projects
- Computational skills, including programming, will be considered as an important asset
- Solid bioinformatic and biostatistics skills
- Excellent organizational and management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in oral and written English is essential
