**Job Description**:

- **
Leadership and Strategy**:

- Serve as a key member of the Technical Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review business specifications, providing critical technical feedback.
- Maintain and update technical roadmaps for the product, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
- Oversee and ensure alignment between the 2-4 software engineering teams, fostering effective collaboration and synchronizing deliverables.
- ** Technical Quality Assurance**:

- Uphold the technical quality and validation of the product.
- Lead technical plan reviews and code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Establish and maintain technical and nonfunctional requirements, guidelines, and practices for the product.
- ** Technology and Process Management**:

- Decide and define the appropriate technologies to be used in product development, based on the input of architect level engineers (Principle Engineers, Software Architects) and the infrastructure team.
- Streamline and update development cycles, processes, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Set, maintain, and periodically revise technical rules, guidelines, practices, and processes.
- ** Team Development and Collaboration**:

- Provide consistent support and guidance to engineering leads.
- Mentor, evaluate, and foster the growth of engineering leads and individual engineers.
- Facilitate effective communication and information sharing between various development teams.
- Assess the needs and strengths of each team, ensuring appropriate distribution of tasks, projects, and resources.
- Act as a mediator in any conflicts that arise between or within teams, driving solutions that promote team cohesion and productivity.
- ** Career Management**:

- Contribute to the career development and progression of team members.
- Define and communicate professional expectations for engineering leads and engineers.
- ** Administrative and Other Tasks**:

- Travel to the company's headquarters in Budapest occasionally.
- Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by direct superiors or upper management.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Work and Educational Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, focusing on high availability and high-traffic services.
- At least 1 year of experience in a technical management or leadership role.
- ** Personal Competences and Language Skills**:

- Exceptional people management capabilities.
- Proficient organizational skills with a knack for prioritizing based on various inputs.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with experience collaborating with remote and cross-functional teams.
- Aptitude to effectively communicate across different levels within the organization.
- Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Deep expertise in Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Familiarity with various programming languages and their benefits.
- Extensive knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Interest in affiliate marketing, online advertising, or related fields.
- ** Tech Skills**:

- Proficiency in software design, understanding OOP principles such as Design patterns, SOLID, DRY, Yagni.
- Knowledge of architectural patterns, including event-based architectures.
- Backend tech experience with PHP, Node.js, MySQL, Redis, Memcache. MSSQL and additional related technologies are a plus.
- Frontend tech experience, familiar with PWA, SPA, ReactJS, WebSocket, and more.
- Experience in crafting responsive designs and developing for multi-platform environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
- Expertise in creating and maintaining high-availability, high-performance, scalable systems.
- Experience in multi datacenter, distributed systems management and operations.
- ** Coding**:

- Experience with modular ADR and MVC system development.
- Mastery of OOP principles and coding best practices, including clean code and TDD.
- Demonstrable ability to design, develop, and test software adhering to best standards.
- Experience with continuous integration tools, Git, GitHub workflow.
- Contribution to or interest in OpenSource projects is a plus.
