Basic qualifications
- Masters' degree in Architecture, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental science, Business, or related field
- Experience working in the sustainable building industry, with progressive responsibility in assessing and deploying innovative sustainable building technologies in buildings, operations, supply chain, transportation or related fields
- Good knowledge and understanding of Energy Audits, Energy Conservation Measures, Material Handling Equipment, Solar and various Energy Management Systems.
- Experience managing project timelines, contractor scopes, and project budgets
- Experience using understanding of carbon reduction and sustainable building implementation strategies for energy, water, and waste
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and optimizing large-scale initiatives and experience with complex buildings and logistics networks
- Proven ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
- Experience with building systems and commercial/industrial construction practices
- Experience with conducting and evaluating Measurement & Verification studies
- An understanding of ILFI and other environmental assessment methodologies (BREEAM/LEED/WELL)

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Build a comprehensive Energy Strategy focusing on Energy and Carbon Reduction for Amazon’s FCs.
- Support the execution of Energy and Carbon reduction initiatives for Amazon FCs.
- Secure Vendors and own the Energy Audit Programs in EU.
- Build and execute the Solar Retrofit and Material Handling Programs for current buildings and support the strategy for new builds.
- Own the Scope 1 carbon reduction initiatives (refrigerants, diesel and natural gas)
- Bridge the strategy and Energy Audits with tangible Energy Conservation Measures and implement across the EU network.
- Identification, analysis, design, costing and project scoping of sustainability projects
- Identify and Evaluate new technology and processes to improve our Energy and Carbon footprint.
- Define programs and metrics and ensure goals are achieved
- Secure buy-in from Amazon leadership for piloting & large-scale deployment across Amazon’s.
- Communicate and present to key leaders
- Prepare written analysis of findings and recommendations for various building-related sustainability solutions
- Analyze and communicate the financial impact of projects and initiatives
- Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Build relationships with external suppliers and partners, and with internal stakeholders

Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, PhD) preferred
- A proven track record in the energy management space, either as an consultant, auditor, procurement, and/or implementation manager.
- Experience in driving new technology adoption across large building networks
- International work experience and previous exposure to roles with a global remit
- Ability to read and interpret building engineering drawings and processes
- Experience with current building regulations
- Deep green building experience with demonstrated industry-leading sustainability design and construction
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
