**Senior Accountant - SAP Expertise Required (English/French) - Luxembourg**

**About the Company**: Our client, a Commercial Group amidst significant expansion, is actively seeking a Senior Accountant with profound SAP expertise for their Luxembourg offices.

This pivotal role involves direct reporting to the Head of Accounting and presents an opportunity to significantly impact the finance department's efficiency and accuracy.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Take full responsibility for segments of General Accounting (GL, AP, AR) within SAP for various companies, ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance.
- Proactively manage day-to-day accounting activities, emphasizing the enhancement of internal controls in line with the Head of Accounting's strategies.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, leveraging SAP functionalities to streamline operations.
- Spearhead tax and VAT return processes, both locally and internationally, utilizing SAP to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and engage with group companies, facilitated by SAP's integrated systems.
- Generate and analyze weekly cash flow reports and other essential financial documents, utilizing SAP for real-time data and insights.
- Oversee customer and supplier account balances within SAP, maintaining strict adherence to developed accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

**Profile Requirements**:

- A post-secondary academic degree in accounting.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, with a strong emphasis on SAP (GL, AP, AR) functionalities.
- Fluency in English and French is required
- Independent work capability coupled with outstanding teamwork skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in SAP.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
