St George's is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a:
**PA to Primary Headteacher**

Permanent Role - 30 - 40 hrs per week

**Job purpose**:
This is an important role to support the Primary School Headteacher and primary staff.

**Main tasks**:

- Establish and maintain good relationships with all students, parents/carers, colleagues, suppliers, contractors and other professionals.
- Provide efficient administration and secretarial assistance to the headteacher.
- Manage the headteacher's diary and time including booking appointments, acting as the ‘gatekeeper', receiving visitors, providing preparatory support and making travel arrangements.
- Open, sort and distribute headteacher's mail including electronic mail, advising on any urgent matters.
- Organise meetings, conferences and events (internal and external) on behalf of the headteacher, including refreshments and taking minutes as required.
- Be the point of contact for the Professional Learning programme, ensuring that the Headteacher is apprised of any messages and actions required in the Team channel.

- Show initiative and leadership whilst anticipating challenges and opportunities.
- Maintain a flexible working approach to accommodate day to day operational matters.
- Maintain a positive outlook and good humour, have an ability to work as an individual and as a member of a team, multitasking and under pressure.
- Respectful and confidential.
- Good level of English both written and spoken.
- Meet all relevant statutory and institutional requirements - e.g. police clearance and first aid training as required by the Senior Management Team.

**Essential Desirable Evidence Qualifications and experience**
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Proven experience in a PA role including diary management and travel arrangements.
- Experience of organising meetings and accurate minute taking.
- Experience of managing and maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
- Further or higher education qualification(s) in a relevant field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
