Senior Accountant/controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and Senior Accountant/Controller to join our dynamic Finance team in Luxembourg. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting and controlling activities, working with the Finance team and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer Luxembourg.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** General Accounting**:

- Oversee day-to-ay accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Review and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and submit VAT and other tax returns
- ** Order to cash process (from order receipt, to invoicing to customer payment)**:

- Assistance in monitoring and creating projects in the accounting system;
- Assistance in monitoring the encoding of hours and receipt of monthly timesheets;
- Monthly invoicing.
- ** Payroll Process**:

- Preparation of data to be provided to the fiduciary for the monthly preparation of salaries;
- Regular contact with the fiduciary;
- Accounting for salaries + expenses.
- ** Controlling**:

- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets and the accuracy of financial information
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- ** Reporting**:

- Assistance in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders (with strict adherence to deadlines)
- Assist in the preparation of the annual statutory audit

**Qualifications**
- You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting ; Finance, or a related field is an asset
- You have 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or controlling
- You have a strong understanding of Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- You are fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
- You have experience with an accounting software or an ERP;
- You have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel;

**Desired Skills**:
