Future Foundations Programme Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) and to drive real change in financial services.

What is the role?

The Future Foundations Programme Manager will report to directly to the Chief Executive Officer but will work closely with the whole team at the LHoFT and actively participate in the LHoFT’s broader activities. We are looking for a superstar with a drive to make change happen. She/He will take be the principal in setting up and managing an initiative that will have real impact on financial services in Luxembourg. Alongside a strong skillset in project management, She/He must have experience of influencing and managing relationships with senior/executive leaders from the financial services industry and demonstrate an ability to, build credibility and effectively communicate with a wide variety of senior stakeholders.

What is the LHoFT?

The LHoFT Foundation is a public - private sector initiative that drives technology innovation for Luxembourg’s Financial Services industry, shaping the world of tomorrow. The LHoFT connects with and creates value for the entire Luxembourg financial ecosystem; financial institutions, Fintech startups & trailblazers, IT industry, research and academia as well as the regulatory and public authorities.

**Its founding private sector partners are**: BGL BNP Paribas, Clearstream (Deutsche Börse Group), BCEE, Deloitte, Foyer Group, KPMG, POST Luxembourg, Six Payment Services, PwC, Société Générale, Telindus (Proximus Group), and State Street. Other partners of the initiative are the Government of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the City of Luxembourg and the University of Luxembourg.

**The responsibilities are as follows**:
Recruit and manage a team of two people, most likely to be a business analyst and a technical project manager.

Assemble and manage an executive Steering Committee representing a cross section of the Luxembourg financial sector.

Coordinate with the Steering Committee to define the set of priorities for mutualised initiatives/utilities for the Luxembourg financial sector.

With you team, deliver business and technical specifications, in agreed order of priority, for the required solutions, liaising with relevant financial sector stakeholders and experts for their input.

Develop and implement a strategy and process, under the LHoFT’s Catapult brand, to solicit technology vendors/startups to respond to the specifications with their proposed solutions, to evaluate these responses and vendors/startups and to select a winning solution.

Gain commitment from relevant financial services actors to support the selected solution through a Proof of Concept (PoC).

Collaborate with 3 rd parties to provide funding for the initial development and deployment of the solution.

Ensure the mid-to-long-term viability of the solution, liaise with industry users and the vendor developing the solution to ensure product-market fit.

Maintain effective financial and project progress forecasting and reports as appropriate.

Develop strategic plans with the LHoFT Marketing team to raise awareness of the initiative

The person we are looking for will likely have the following attributes:
Bachelor degree in economics, statistics, strategy, or business management is an advantage

5+ years work experience

A knowledge of Fintech and Financial Services

Strong and proven project management skills

Incredible communication and writing skills - in English

Ability to multi-task and manage complex works stream and a network of stakeholders

Agility - ability to attend to new priorities quickly

Conscientious and diligent

Demonstrable influencing capability, social, able to get along with a wide variety of people and know how to position a case to get tasks done

Willing to learn (technologies, methods) and develop new skills

Creativity, both in ideas and execution

Organised and level headed, not prone to panic or to over-react but able to assess, plan actions and implement in a constructive and logical way

Confidence to work independently

Demonstrable execution capabilities

Native speaker in English or at least fluent, both oral and written. French, Luxembourgish and German would be an advantage
