**Job Description**:
Seeking an Assistant Vice-President (AVP) for BEFM Risk Management team (BEFM Risk), who will be mainly responsible for monitoring, assessing, and managing risks that may adversely impact BEFM-managed UCITS funds. The AVP will be also exposed to alternative investment strategies by supporting BEFM Risk on BEFM-managed AIFs.

**Responsibilities**:
In this role, the AVP will be a key member of BEFM Risk, ensuring effective risk assessment, adequate oversight, and comprehensive reporting to governing bodies. The AVP will be responsible of carrying out best-in-class risk analysis on BEFM Risk’s full range of activities covering risk management and investment fund compliance matters.
- UCITS risk management: responsible for monitoring and assessing risks of BEFM-managed UCITS funds, reporting to relevant stakeholders (i.e., BEFM Conducting Officer, BEFM Management Committee, BEFM Board, UCITS Fund Boards, EU/local regulators), and managing how risks are mitigated and what corrective actions are implemented
- UCITS investment fund compliance: responsible for monitoring of compliance with investment restrictions, liaising with internal and/or external investment managers on potential passive and active breaches, managing corrective actions, and supporting other teams on calculation impact and financial compensation to investors
- UCITS Reporting: coordinating and supporting other teams with UCITS regulatory reporting to ensure accurate and timely delivery to local/EU regulators and investors (e.g., semi-annual UCITS risk reporting with the CSSF, PRIIPS KID)
- AIF risk management: supporting BEFM Risk for monitoring and assessing risks of BEFM-managed AIFs deploying a liquid investment strategy (i.e., hedge funds, fund of funds, credit funds)
- Governance: supporting BEFM Risk for maintaining and developing an adequate and effective risk framework by updating and reviewing policies, procedures, and risk profiles in accordance with latest regulatory requirements and best market practices
- Oversight: overseeing risk processes partially carried out by internal and/or external teams by ensuring robust operational processes, adequate risk modeling, and effective escalation procedures

Qualifications & Skills

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team, are highly motivated, with a sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Financial Engineering, or similar discipline
- +6 years of relevant financial services industry experience (UCITS Management Company, Risk Advisory) with solid understanding of risk management techniques and methods (i.e., value-at-Risk, stress testing, liquidity modeling, counterparty risk)
- Strong knowledge of the local/EU regulatory requirements in relation to UCITS funds domiciled in Luxembourg and/or Ireland (knowledge of the regulatory requirements in relation to AIFs will be considered as an asset)
- Good understanding of regulations and reporting applicable to OTC derivatives and SFTs (i.e., EMIR, SFTR)
- Previous exposure to regulatory reporting is an asset (e.g., semi-annual UCITS reporting, PRIIPS KID)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required
- Fluent in English, both written and oral, and any other language will be considered as an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with resourceful mindset and efficiency-driven, hands-on
- Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, highly organized, strong time management skills, and attention to details
