The SAP team manager role is critical in steering our SAP operations and leading a talented team of SAP professionals. This position is vital for ensuring the strategic alignment of our SAP systems with business objectives, thus driving operational excellence and innovation.
In this central role, you will:
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of SAP specialists, fostering a collaborative team environment to ensure high productivity and morale. Develop team members through career coaching and educational opportunities.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple SAP projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting.
- SAP Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive SAP strategy that supports and aligns with our business goals. Ensure the SAP landscape evolves to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between IT and key business stakeholders, translating business needs into SAP solutions. Regularly update stakeholders on project status and potential business impacts.
- Technical Guidance and Support: Provide expert guidance on SAP solutions, including system configuration, customisation, and optimisation. Ensure the technical proficiency of the team in handling complex SAP modules and systems.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Encourage and lead initiatives for system improvements and adoption of best practices. Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies and industry trends to keep our systems innovative and competitive.
- Governance: Develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, processes, and productivity standards.
- Reporting: Manages the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the Team. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
- Budget and Forecasting: Participates to the definition of financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
**_Required profile:_**
Essential qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an equally compelling story of experience and expertise.
- Proven experience in managing SAP environments and Team with a strong understanding of SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, PP, SD, HR.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within an IT/SAP setting.
- Good project management skills.
- Spirit of initiative and ability to propose innovative solutions to improve product quality.
- Experience with SAP implementation, upgrades, and migrations.
- A commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to dive deep into new technologies and tools.
- Mastery of spoken and written communication in both English ensuring flawless information dissemination.
Desired or to be acquired required attributes:
- Experience in S/4HANA migrations or implementations.
- An analytical troubleshooter with a keen eye for detail.
- A collaborative spirit that thrives in teams but leads when needed.
- A rigorous guardian of strong IT governance and processes.
