We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of various networking assets, including routing, switching, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and security infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and Configure Networking Assets: Install, deploy, manage, and operate various networking assets, including routing, switching, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and security infrastructure.
- Maintain Networking Protocols: Maintain a very good knowledge of Cisco Routing and switching, with expertise in networking protocols.
- Troubleshoot Complex Technologies: Configure and troubleshoot complex networking technologies, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Certifications: Hold at least a CCNP certification, with a CCIE certification being a strong preference.
- Operating Systems and Interfaces: Work with Cisco products, operating systems, and configuration interfaces.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct testing of new configurations, equipment, and software releases.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on network and security usage and performance.
- New Architectures: Actively participate in the planning and deployment of new networking architectures.
- Technical Solutions: Deliver technical solutions to enhance the resiliency and efficiency of our network systems.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for operational procedures.
- Incident Response: Be part of the network incident response process and participate in on-duty staffing outside business hours.
Your Profile:
- Education: A Master's degree in IT or IT Security, or equivalent professional competencies supported by relevant certifications and extensive experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar network engineering role.
- Networking Principles: In-depth understanding of IT networking and security principles.
- Technical Expertise: Technical expertise in current operating systems, network hardware, protocols, and standards related to network and security assets.
- Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex problems.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in both English and French, with excellent communication skills.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Customer Focus: A strong customer focus and dedication to providing high-quality service.
- Complex Scenarios: Ability to comprehend complex technical scenarios and provide valuable recommendations.
