The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team's charter is to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. The Product Safety policy lead will own analysis and risk assessment activities required to formulate WW product safety policies, focusing on textiles, children's products, toys, home goods/sporting goods, and electrical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product safety risk assessments across a broad range of product categories, making high-judgement decisions regarding policies related to product safety.
  • Perform analysis of data from various sources to identify possible risk indicators to support policy decisions, coordinating with Legal teams to integrate legal and safety analysis.
  • Communicate Amazon's safety and compliance strategies to stakeholders, working with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent reporting against commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.
  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of compliance, audit, or risk management experience.
