Senior Legal Counsel Role

We are seeking a highly experienced senior legal counsel to join our team at EuroLux Consulting Ltd. This is a senior management level role in a prestigious organization, focusing on legal advisory, commercial contracts, and financial services regulation.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Provide commercially pragmatic guidance and support on a range of legal issues relevant to the funds business area, ensuring a strong relationship with the business as a true partner.
  • Represent the company in commercial negotiations with third parties, ensuring effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Provide legal support to ongoing projects, working closely with the Compliance and Risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage a team and ensure the effective development of team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and expertise.
  • Monitor regulatory / legal developments in the works of alternative fund regulation, ensuring awareness within the business at management level.
  • Work on ways to minimise legal risk to the business, identifying and mitigating potential risks and developing strategies to prevent them.
  • Manage relationships and budgets with external counsel on any outsourced matters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work on local and global projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.


Requirements:


  • At least 10 years' experience as a lawyer in a legal advisory position within the financial services industry, ideally in a PSF, fund services company, ManCo or law firm.
  • Possess a local or European legal qualification, with a deep understanding of the legal issues affecting the Luxembourg funds industry.
  • Possess excellent regulatory knowledge with the ability to manage legal risks accordingly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Possess fluent English and at least intermediate French for this English speaking environment.
  • Be an experienced people manager, well organized, and able to manage relationships, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
