Job Title: Data Scientist


About the Role:



  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of modeling databases related to credit risk quantification implemented by the Bank in the context of Pillar 1 A-IRB approach.
  • Manage and ensure the consistency of internal rating system integration within the risk management process and policies of the Bank.
  • Follow up on new methods, technologies, and market trends in Data Science, including python and pandas versions, snowflake, and dataiku.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to manage and ensure the correct implementation of IRB models.
  • Develop and maintain modeling databases for IRB modeling and backtesting purposes based on Oracle and/or SQL server databases.
  • Perform data quality checks during development and ensure comprehensive documentation of RDS.
  • Collaborate with Internal Validation, Internal Audit, and JST for review and validation of data flows and RDS.
  • Implement related recommendations and obligations.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and necessary modifications in data flows.
  • Ensure training and knowledge transfer with the modeling team.
  • Support the team with technical expertise.

About You:



  • Must have a strong data, statistical, and mathematical background.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Mandatory languages: French and English, and necessary language(s) for exercising the function.
  • General knowledge of the banking industry, with previous experience in credit risk data management preferred.
  • Proficiency in Dataiku, oracle SQL, and SQL server, python, and PySpark.
  • Familiarity with IRB constraints.
  • Ability to understand and invest in various topics, from high-level strategic business and commercial topics to technical ones.
  • Strong appetite for figures, statistics, algorithmic, and quantitative activities.
  • Autonomous, structured, and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to innovate and build from scratch.
  • Willing to learn new technologies, methods, and develop new skills.
  • Enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in developing their skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • A significant experience in data management is required.
