AML Compliance Analyst: Regulatory Expertise for Amazon Europe

Amazon Payments Inc. is seeking a dynamic and innovative Compliance Analyst to join our expanding Risk and Compliance Services team in Europe.

This critical role ensures the rapid expansion of Amazon's payments business, develops compliance strategies, and implements rigorous compliance across all functions within the company.

The Compliance Analyst plays a key part in a team responsible for completing and reviewing key compliance work across multiple payments licenses.

A key component of the "second line of defense" in Amazon's compliance and risk management governance structure, the role involves working cross-functionally with legal, operations, product, risk management, marketing, and finance teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing Customer Due Diligence Checks
  • Validating seller documents and information
  • Highlighting any exceptions, resolving, and documenting results
  • Ensuring findings are recorded and escalating areas of concern to management for issue rectification
  • Reporting compliance performances back to business functions
  • Assisting in implementing regulatory changes into business operations in a timely manner
  • Supporting investigations and operational staff with AML requirements related to their function

You will be an integral part of shaping Amazon's compliance strategy and ensuring sustained regulatory compliance across the company.

We offer a competitive salary of €70,000 - €90,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including professional development opportunities, health insurance, and a pension plan.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Fluency in English and German
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Science, Compliance, or Economics
  • 1-2 years' previous AML/Compliance experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Compliance, AML, and KYC-related laws and regulations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An AML-related certification
  • Payments or e-commerce background
  • Fluency in other European languages is an added advantage
