As a Senior Database Administrator at Europ IT Services, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing the design, development, and optimization of our databases to ensure they are secure, scalable, highly available, stable, and efficient.
This involves accurate documentation, architectural schemas, monitoring, alerting, and optimizations. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server and MongoDB database systems, as well as monitoring their performance and optimizing them for efficiency, scalability, and stability.
- Database Administration and Management:
- Implement backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in query execution, indexing, and schema design
- Implement security standards linked to internal policies aimed to protect sensitive data and to ensure compliance with the organization and the regulator
- Manage user roles, permissions, and database access protocols
- Propose a design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for critical databases
- Configure and maintain MSSQL failover clusters, Always On Availability Groups, and replication setups
Your Profile:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A university degree in ICT or a related field
- A minimum of 6+ years of proven experience in managing SQL Server (on-premises and cloud) and MongoDB in production environments
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or similar NoSQL technologies is a plus
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of query optimization techniques
- Experience with SQL and MongoDB infrastructure
- Familiarity with Azure for database management (other cloud platforms is a plus)
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks
- Knowledge of database security best practices, including encryption and auditing
- Practical and concrete knowledge of backup systems such as CommVault Preferred
Soft Skills:
