Energy Market Capacity Allocation Expert

Located in Luxembourg, Joint Allocation Office is a leading service company that hosts Europe's single trading platform for cross-border transmission capacity. We partner with TSOs to auction available long and short-term transmission capacity rights on all internal EU borders.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Junior Capacity Allocation Specialist to join our operations team. As the first point of contact for market participants and TSOs, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of processes such as auctions, market coupling, and other operational tasks.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor processes such as explicit auctions, market coupling, and publication, verifying dedicated checkpoints and following agreed procedures.
- Respond to customers' queries or reported issues in a timely manner and escalate when needed.
- Identify and intervene in case of deviation from normal process by raising alerts, coordinating with relevant teams for advanced troubleshooting, and following fallback procedures if necessary.
- Be the first point of contact for external parties through different channels and respond to customers' queries or reported issues in a timely manner and escalate when needed.
- Perform first-level investigation and troubleshooting on any upcoming issue.
- Support market/operations initiatives by joining specific internal task forces.
- Participate in internal discussions and brainstorming sessions to drive change initiatives within the Operations department.
- Provide feedback and continuous improvement ideas on procedures on a day-to-day basis at Operations.
- Prepare operational reports detailing KPIs, issues, and other relevant information.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- General knowledge about IT systems and networks.

- Salary paid on a 13-month basis: approximately €55,000 - €65,000 per year.
- 31 days of holidays per year.
- Up to 40% home office for Luxemburgish residents, 25% maximum for non-residents.
- €150 per month towards transportation (bus/train) or full reimbursement of parking tickets outside the office.
- €50 per month towards sport.
