About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Trade Compliance Manager to join our team at Amazon Europe. As a key member of our Global Trade Services (GTS) team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that we deliver hundreds of thousands of items each day while adhering to import and export compliance requirements.

Job Summary

The Senior Trade Compliance Manager will execute on a broad range of trade compliance matters, working directly with business leadership, procurement teams, Legal, Tax, Public Policy, and other internal business partners, as well as external vendors, to drive trade compliance requirements across the supply chain. Key responsibilities include designing and executing a compliance risk management and governance program, driving scalable business solutions to ensure compliance with trade regulations in Europe, processing implementation work within the team, businesses, and Corporate Legal to enforce Amazon policies, educating internal and external stakeholders on compliance requirements, collaborating with Business, Legal, Tax, and Public Policy departments on efforts as necessary, leveraging data to continuously improve compliance at Amazon, and collaborating with Amazon's technology teams to develop best Trade Compliance solutions for our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Compliance Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive trade compliance strategy, aligning with Amazon's global goals and objectives.
  • Compliance Risk Management: Design and execute a robust compliance risk management program, identifying and mitigating potential risks across the supply chain.
  • Business Solutions: Drive scalable business solutions to ensure compliance with trade regulations in Europe, leveraging technology and process improvements to optimize operations.
  • Policy Enforcement: Process implementation work within the team, businesses, and Corporate Legal to enforce Amazon policies and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Education: Educate internal and external stakeholders on compliance requirements, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to trade regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Business, Legal, Tax, and Public Policy departments on efforts as necessary, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared accountability.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data to continuously improve compliance at Amazon, identifying areas for optimization and implementing strategic initiatives to address gaps.
  • Technology Enablement: Collaborate with Amazon's technology teams to develop best Trade Compliance solutions for our business, driving innovation and process improvements through technology enablement.

Requirements

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements
  • Master's degree or equivalent
