AML Compliance Specialist

Pictet, a leading global wealth and asset management firm, is seeking a highly skilled AML Compliance Specialist to join our Business Onboarding and Monitoring Team. This role will be responsible for analyzing account opening files of new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with anti-money-laundering (AML) rules and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Luxembourgish AML legislation and the ability to analyze complex and opaque structures across different investor typologies and jurisdictions. They will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity, as well as the ability to work with autonomy and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising AML control activities carried out by the Transfer Agent Department
  • Reviewing results from screening tools (PEP, sanctions lists, and transactions monitoring)
  • Carrying out quality controls on activities of the Transfer Agent Department and other departments involved in relationship-opening procedures
  • Adapting company procedures to bring them into line with regulatory developments in the field of AML
  • Providing advice and assistance to staff on regulatory implications of current and new regulations and changes to business
  • Producing and sending reports as part of the team's activity
  • Taking part in different projects that involve the team
  • Liaising internally with other teams in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements:

  • University degree in Economics, Law, or Finance
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in AML, compliance, and investment fund industry
  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft Office, and name screening & transaction monitoring tools
  • Experience in assessment of complex and opaque structures across different investor typologies and jurisdictions
