**Your Role...**:
The Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC) of the University of Luxembourg is recruiting **Librarian Specialist User Services.**

**Missions**

Within the _User Services_ team, you will actively contribute to the reception and information of the LLC's users and play an active role in the improvement of services by being project manager for the development of the services and tools in close collaboration with the Head of the _User Services_ team.

User Services (50%)
- Participate in the opening of the Luxembourg Learning Centre to the public, during the week and 5 Saturdays per year, by taking part in the public services.
- Provide reception, registration, advice and information to the public.
- Actively take part in user information activities in person and remotely via the Ask a Librarian.
- Provide expert assistance and training in finding and evaluating information.
- Provide consultations for several specialized areas of expertise (answer reference questions and conduct reference interviews as necessary).
- Design and update guides (online/electronic and print) to improve access and use of information including, but not limited to, the navigation of databases, style and format guides, thematic and course-specific guides, copyright, and plagiarism.

Project management (25%)
- Supporting the _User Services_ team in the implementation of digital services and tools: gathering requirements, analysing usage, helping to choose solutions, implementing and configuring.

Communication (25%)
- Implement the communication actions of the _User and Outreach Services_ division and proactively identify communication opportunities.
- Ensure the overall monitoring of the design, production, editing and distribution of physical and digital media.
- Ensure the update of all information related to the activities in the building (posters, events, information on opening hours, management of communication screens, etc.).
- Updating the contents of the library's website.
- Contribute to the organization of event activities (Open Day, Welcome Day, guided tours...).

**What we expect from you**:

- Master degree in Librarianship / Information Science or equivalent degree with a proven experience in a library.
- Demonstrated understanding of the academic library’s role and the ability to use this understanding to serve patrons in an academic library setting.
- Excellent knowledge of document retrieval techniques and experience in reference services / information literacy training.
- Good knowledge of office software, communication/graphic tools and social networks.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills.
- You are dynamic, you like to take initiatives, you know how to adapt and train yourself to the changes in the profession.
- You have a perfect command of two of the following languages: French, English or German. Knowledge of Luxembourgish is an asset.
