**In this role within the Life & Health valuation team you will**:

- provide iptiQ Life & Health EMEA's liability valuations on different bases (Luxembourg statutory, US GAAP, Solvency II, EVM, IFRS, various statutory reporting bases);
- provide actuarial assessments for the launch of new products and assist in the preparation technical notes for new and existing products;
- provide actuarial input for the IFRS transition, including on methodology topics relating to the iptiQ Life & Health portfolio;
- provide actuarial assessments and feedback on valuation results to management;
- provide valuation modelling methodologies and assumptions for L&H products;
- liaise with other iptiQ L&H EMEA functions such as Finance, Products and Risk Management to ensure that iptiQ's valuation and risk management principles are in line with the Group standards;
- support the regulatory reporting activities in conjunction with the Finance division and legal functions;
- perform experience analysis and prepare the review of key actuarial assumptions to ensure long term profitability of business;
- ensure an appropriate control framework is in place that matches with the business requirements;
- contribute to the development and maintenance of deep knowledge of insurance practices and market developments within the European market, in particular Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Ireland.

**About you**

**Skills and Experience**:

- University degree; mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related field with proven mathematical skills and analytical ability;
- Qualified actuary or actively pursuing an actuarial qualification;
- Work experience of 4+ years in primary L&H insurance and/or consulting environment with actuarial focus;
- Understanding of Luxembourg statutory and Solvency II requirements for L&H business;
- Good knowledge of IFRS 17 principles;
- Very strong knowledge of the MS Office suite (particularly of MS Excel). R or other programming languages useful;
- You are a self-motivated, organized team player who likes to take initiatives and challenges.
- You are comfortable in a fast moving, multi-cultural and international business environment;
- Very strong verbal and written communication: ability to communicate complex issues to others in a clear and concise way;
- Your English is excellent; French is a plus.
