**How will you contribute?**:
This internship provides an opportunity to get experienced in recombinant protein production in a bacterial host and enzymatic assays related to lignocellulose deconstruction. The trainee will focus on cloning, protein expression, protein purification and activity testing of carbohydrate-active enzymes, contributing to the team’s work on characterizing enzymes that act on polysaccharides

You will be mainly in charge of:

- Cloning carbohydrate active enzyme coding genes in bacterial host
- Managing the production of the recombinant proteins
- Purification of the recombinant proteins
- Carry out enzymatic tests to characterize the activity of recombinant proteins

**Education**
- Master’s student with a background in molecular biology or biochemistry for a 6-month internship.

**Experience and skills**
- Understanding of molecular biology tools and approaches
- Knowledge of laboratory good practices

**Language skills**
- Good level both written and spoken English and French
