Associate Director, Trustee & Depositary Services Luxembourg

**What is the opportunity?**

RBC I&TS, acting as Depositary, must comply with its depositary duties to ensure investors and RBC I&TS do not suffer any loss or reputational damage as a result of its failure to perform its obligations or negligent performance of them. Our main obligations are Cash Flow Monitoring, Oversight duties and Safekeeping & Recordkeeping of assets. The control results are documented and shared with Management Companies, AIFM’s, Board of Directors and made available upon request to auditors or regulators. A foundation of the UCITS and AIFM Regulations is that the depositary must act solely and independently in the interest of investors.

**What will you do?**
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory depositary requirements related to: Cash Flow Monitoring, Oversight duties, NAV, Subscriptions/Redemptions, Investment compliance, Income Distribution, Timely Settlement, Safekeeping and Recordkeeping of assets
- Act as a highly-skilled depositary specialist fostering a culture of high performance and mastering the UCITS and AIFM regulations.
- Under the supervision of the Director, the TDS Associate Director take part to a hierarchical and matrix organization in which he/she shall act as a stream manager accountable for his/her own stream, in addition to participating in activities with other TDS stream managers.
- Have hierarchical responsibilities over the team members assigned to his/her stream and collaborate, under the supervision of the TDS Director, with other stream leaders/hierarchical managers, to ensure appropriate task allocations, objective definitions and appraisal reviews.
- Be accountable to improve performance and create additional opportunities for business growth by improving the consistency and quality of all deliverables to clients.
- Oversee the implementation of continuous quality, efficiency and risk mitigation programs within the department and holds significant responsibility in a high risk, high profile area of the business.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Depositary Activity or Fund Administration business, Internal Control or Audit function, 5+ years staff management experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Depositary function or equivalent
- Ability to work and to manage teams in a hierarchical and matricial organization
- Team orientated, dynamic with the ability to motivate others
- Excellent client service attitude and exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to liaise with clients and internal departments at all levels and a demonstrated ability to lead change, initiatives and projects
- Sound knowledge of regulatory UCITS V and AIFMD depositary framework
- Experience in Real Estate and Private Equity and mandatory English Language (Written/Oral) Proficiency

**Nice-to-have**
- German language
- Good knowledge of Access
