SES is the world’s leader in global satellite communications providing first-class, worldwide broadcast and data communications.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Digital Network Operations (DINO) team which is amongst others responsible for 24/7 payload operations on our satellites. Based in Luxembourg, you will support the operational work covering Occasional Use Accesses.
The summer job should start in July and last up to 2 months.
Your responsibilities will include _(but will not be limited to):_
- Taking incoming calls from Satellite News Gathering (SNG) trucks and do carrier line up's over spectrum analyzer
- Support the Dino controller on several other monitoring and fault finding activities in the TV business
- As this activities are often in the evening hours and weekends, this summer job would require working some day/evening shifts and some Saturdays. Thus, the working hours will be either from 08:00-17:00 or 14:00-22:00. However, a plan will be set up in advance.
**YOUR PROFILE**
**1. You must have**
- Current student in engineering, telecommunicatoins or any other relevant technical area
- Good level of English, with any additional language (e.g. French or German) being an asset
- Ability to work accurate with high attention to detail
- Computer literate (Excel, MS PowerPoint)- EU nationality or a valid work permit for Luxembourg.
