Mechanical Construction Estimator

**Description**

**Koch Engineered Solutions (KES)** is looking for a **Mechanical Construction/Erection Estimator** for the John Zink Hamworthy business line, which covers installations like thermal oxidizers, flares, burners, incinerators and vapor recovery units.

We will shape you to become a strong Estimation Manager. Working in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you will prepare the complete bid estimate of the installation/construction/erection package for revamps, repairs or new installations, through either internal estimation or market inquiries, in coordination with other Company’s departments, as necessary, targeting always the preparation of the winning proposal.

**What You Will Do**
- Prepare key quantities based on P&ID’s, drawings and other engineering documentation.
- You will be assuming the Project manager role on demand depending on the business situation.
- Support commercial team with construction estimates and schedules.
- Develop methodical sequencing or step-out plans required for safe and efficient construction or installation of KES equipment.
- Assess project risks and recommend contingencies where needed.
- Develop database of estimates and work plans for the major families of KES equipment.
- Prepare requests for subcontractors’ quotations.
- Building and maintaining healthy relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, clients, team members, etc.
- Prepare proposal drafts.

**The Experience You Will Bring**

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical Engineering Education is preferred.
- A first experience as a Mechanical Engineer or as Project Engineer with Heavy Industry or Oil & Gas sector.
- Excellent self-management and organizational skills, which will enable you to manage projects efficiently and also maintain calmness and composure when under pressure.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience in Excel, Word, Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Travel and work at site locations throughout the region up to 30%.
