As Purchase Manager for our European headquarters, counting with 75 employees, you will be

responsible for managing the purchasing process and ensuring that the purchasing department

operates efficiently and cost‐effectively. This includes evaluating suppliers and products, negotiating

prices and delivery terms, and overseeing product quality and delivery. You will work closely with all

the departments to achieve the company’s objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise & manage the purchasing process to ensure the supply of our stocks (placing
- orders with suppliers, organising transports when necessary, following up to ensure
- deadlines are met);
- Ensure that the purchases are made at the right prices and on terms that are favourable to
- the company;
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high levels of service and competitive
- prices, to ensure the customer needs are met;
- Evaluate suppliers and ensure that products delivered comply with standards;
- Develop and update purchasing and quality control procedures;
- Work with relevant departments to ensure that products and supplies purchased are fit for
- purpose;
- Produce reports on our stock levels and sales to estimate the future supply needs;
- Manage & update our suppliers and products database;
- Manage customisation projects, ensure communication between the various departments
- involved, & anticipate any requirements for the departments implicated in such designed
- projects;
- Calculate sales prices and update price lists in the systems;
- Review & approval of the invoices from suppliers and carriers responsible for imports;
- Review of the figures for the monthly, quarterly & annual closings.

**Skills / Experience**
- Excellent presence and team player attitude;
- Able to manage the team & own priorities;
- Highly organized & detail‐orientated mindset, stress resilient & flexible;
- Able to work on short deadlines & visualize the requirements of each department involved
- with the Purchase team;
- Excellent communicator as the purchase department works with & for all the other
- departments;
- Ideally, you will already have some experience of Mercator or other management software;
- You are familiar with Microsoft Office Pack, and an expert in Excel;
- At least 6 years’ experience in a purchasing team, and 2 years as a Purchase Manager;
- An excellent command of English, French, German & Luxembourgish are required.

In case of positive selection, a certificate of good standing or an extract of the criminal record can be required.
