As we continue our ongoing expansion in the European market, we have identified an exciting career opportunity for an Estate Planner/Family Officer, who enjoys both the complexities of international and domestic tax and estate planning for ultra-high net worth private clients and investors and managing and developing relationships with such clients in a family office setting. The role will involve close and regular interaction with existing and prospective clients of the Stonehage Fleming Group, their family members, other fiduciaries, and third party professional advisors, as well as internal departments and associated business units of the Stonehage Fleming Group.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

The position reports to the Partner, Head of Family Office Luxembourg, and is based in the Stonehage Fleming Luxembourg office. This role involves close and regular interaction with all members of the Family Office Team, Accounting, Banking and Compliance department as well as Directors/Senior Management of Family Office, external clients and business contacts.

OVERALL PURPOSE

Manage day-to-day client relationships for a portfolio of clients to ensure a very high level of service in the delivery of our advice.

PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Providing advice on a wide range of legal, tax and commercial matters, with an emphasis on estate and succession planning, family governance and any relevant European and cross border tax issues;
- Run clients’ affairs including preparing meeting documentation, analysing wealth organization and performance of investments, valuing investments and analysing costs;
- Ensure all transactions pertaining to the management of the clients’ affairs are executed timely, efficiently and accounted for correctly;
- Supporting business development deliverables and travel to the European regions;
- Identify and close cross selling opportunities, by referring families to other suitable service lines within the Group (i.e. Corporate Service, Investment Management, Art Management);
- Ensuring compliance with Regulatory requirements in Luxembourg and in other jurisdictions as necessary;
- Such other duties as may reasonably be required by the management from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Master’s degree in business law/finance or equivalent level
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ recent experience in a tax or private-client practice with a focus on European estate planning, structuring advice, legal services, corporate governance, intergenerational education and tax planning
- Good understanding of Family Office

- French and English fluency essential.
