The Department of Law of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Research and Development specialist (50%) to conduct research in the **field of intellectual property law and financial technologies**. The position is part of the interdisciplinary National Centre of Excellence in Financial Technologies (NCER-FT).

The Research and Development specialist will benefit from being part of a research group comprising several researchers working in the field of financial law and intellectual property (IP) at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance. Luxembourg is extremely prominent for its **financial service industry **and the research in the field of** financial technologies**. It is also a **vibrant European IP hub** with a strong profile in European IP law and the relevant European Courts (e.g., the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European General Court, the Court of Appeal of the Unified Patent Court). Being part of the project will allow the researcher to enhance his/her research experience and strengthen his/her academic profile.

**Your Role...**:
The Research and Development specialist will be working under the supervision of Professor Martin Stierle. In particular, the R&D Specialist will
- Conduct research on the different topics falling into the scope of the research project or related areas
- Contribute to disseminating results through publications, workshops and conferences
- Offer research assistance
- Contribute to preparing further research proposals

**Qualifications...**:

- Proven interest in IP law and/or financial law
- Strong interest in legal research
- Fluency in English; a good understanding of German and/or French, will be considered an advantage
- Excellent communication and writing skills
