**You can look forward to these exciting tasks**:

- Drive expert opinion to understand issues related to material behavior including microstructure, optics, stress, and failure mode. Partner with Product Development Engineers on best project outcomes
- Based on customer requirements, devise standards, Product Verification Plans and best in class procedures for prototype testing of novel ideas/concepts. This may include technologies such as coating, laminations, electronics, and associated assemblies
- Using state of the art lab equipment, critically analyze test results to understand true product behavior at the material level and then make informed recommendations for product improvement. This includes clear & concise technical reports
- Through work with GCC team or beyond, participate on benchmarking and IP generation, being first to market

**Here's what you can bring to the team**:

- MS or PhD degree with expertise in glass/ceramics or organic materials, adhesives, and bonding. (PhD preferred)
- Experience in a Glass Research setting preferred
- 5+ years experience in a scientist position
- Valid driver’s license required for business travel
- Creativity, determination to analyze root causes, solution focused research
