**The SPV Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting support for Luxembourg based SPVs (e.g. journal entry preparation or review, key account reconciliations, answering accounting queries from the clients). Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements ensuring conformance to accounting principles and GAAP requirements. This individual will be part of the team being currently established in the IA&R Warsaw Center of Excellence, functionally reporting into Senior Controller.**:
**ESSENTIAL** **DUTIES** **AND**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and other accounting reports.
- Creation of month-end accounting entries and posting to GL.
- Examination of financial statements and documents for conformance with the GAAP.
- Preparation of key Balance Sheet reconciliations and review those performed by others.
- Maintaining, recording, and reconciliation of billings and accounts receivable, and any other bookings based on the relevant supporting documentation.
- Answering questions regarding accounting issues and reports, including profit and loss reports.
- Researching open accounting issues and liaising with the relevant parties to solve them.
- Verification of the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
- Other duties as assigned.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three to five years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proven knowledge of financial terms and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to convey financial issues to non-financial users.
- Result-oriented with an analytical and problem-solving attitude, with an eye for detail
- Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Experience with automated accounting and financial management systems.
- High energy, self-motivation, ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn and constantly improve
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
