**LISER** invites motivated applicants for the position of Research Associate (Postdoc) to join the section Behavioural and Experimental Economics his new Centre in Experimental and Participatory Research at LISER.

**Your role**

As a Research Associate, your tasks will include:

- the pursuit of independent research and development of his/her own research agenda, including grant seeking activities at national and/or international level;
- active engagement with the interdisciplinary FNR-funded Doctoral Training Centre “Experiments, Ethics and Economics” (3E), led by LISER;
- help shape and develop the strategic agenda of the Centre and to participate in the activities of the Institute (seminars, workshops, etc.);
- contribute to ways in which the research can be used for relevant “impact” on policy and society;
- help direct and build up the capacity of the Centre to run a wide variety of experiments.

**Your profile**
- a **Ph.D. in Economics** or an equivalent qualification;
- accumulated** at least 3 years of research **at the post-doc level;
- a strong background and track record in experimental and behavioural economics;
- experience in publishing in leading journals in the field;
- experience in developing grant proposals and acquiring competitive grant funding;
- a strong motivation to pursue independent research and develop his/her own research agenda, including grant seeking activities at national and/or international level;
- a willingness to actively engage with the interdisciplinary FNR-funded Doctoral Training Centre “Experiments, Ethics and Economics” (3E), led by LISER;
- a strong commitment to help shape and develop the strategic agenda of the Centre and to participate in the activities of the Institute (seminars, workshops, etc.);
- an openness to liaise with researchers in other experimental and participatory research approaches of the Centre;
- an interest and ideally experience in using the research to impact on policy and society;
- experience running experiments in the laboratory, online, and in the field; willingness to direct and built up the capacity of the Centre to run a wide variety of experiments.

**About the Centre in Experimental and Participatory Research**

The new _Centre in Experimental and Participatory Research_ is composed of four interrelated sections: behavioural and experimental economics (BEE), geo-experimentation, participatory research (e.g. livings labs and citizen science), and qualitative methodologies.

The Centre will be equipped with a state-of-the-art computerized laboratory (LISER-LAB). The Centre is developing a platform to conduct experiments online with members of the general populations of Luxembourg, Belgium, France and Germany, with the possibility to link experimental data with survey and administrative data. Going forward, the Centre has a key strategic objective to develop collaborations with non-academic partners (from both private and public sectors), aiming at the co-production of research with both high scientific value and strong societal impact.

**About LISER**

LISER is a publicly funded research institute located in Luxembourg and dedicated to applied empirical research in economic, social and spatial sciences. The Institute hosts three departments (Living Conditions, Labour Market, and Urban Development and Mobility) as well as a Data Management Unit that coordinates the collection of a wide range of survey data on households and individuals. Beyond its established departments, the Institute invests in several interdisciplinary research fields.
