Senior Compliance Officer

Your responsibilities:
- Being in charge, under the supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer an in cooperation of the other Compliance Officer, of a wide range of Regulatory Compliance aspects, and most notably of the advice, legal watch, risk assessment, controls and reporting activities in the fields of MIFID II, MAR, Outsourcing and Insurance Intermediation. Although knowledge and experience in the AML field is appreciated, the open position does not specifically cover AML aspects (which are dealt with by a distinct dedicated unit within the Compliance department)
- Participate actively to regulatory projects
- Issue opinions on various regulatory matters
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in the implementation of the compliance policy and ensure the ongoing identification, assessment and management of compliance
risks relating to the current and future activities of the bank
- Maintain and continuously adapt the risk-based compliance monitoring program
- Ensure that internal compliance policies and procedures are in line with all applicable laws and regulations
- Give advice and support to Senior Management and to staff on compliance related matters, especially with regards to the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, but also with regards to other compliance topics such as MIFID, Market Abuse, Data Protection, automatic exchange of information in the tax fields (FATCA, CRS) etc.
- Prepare reporting toward the authorities and toward the parent company
Your profile:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience as either compliance officer, auditor or legal advisor in the Financial Sector in Europe (preferably in Luxembourg) ;
- University degree, ideally in Law, Finance or Economics
- Good knowledge of the industry, its products and market practices,
- Sound knowledge of the Luxemburg and European legal and regulatory environment in the fields of Financial Markets, Banking and Investment Funds,
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work in a proactive,
Solution-oriented, independent and structured manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken French and English (Italian will be considered as advantage)
