We are working with a leading insurance company based in Luxembourg, committed to providing exceptional insurance solutions to our clients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and dedicated Compliance Officer to join our team.
Job Description: As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining an effective compliance program to mitigate risk and promote a culture of compliance within the organization. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Conducting regular internal audits to assess compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitoring and reviewing insurance products, contracts, and marketing materials to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Providing guidance and support to employees regarding compliance matters and acting as a point of contact for compliance-related queries.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify and address compliance gaps, and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices, and recommending necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience working in compliance within the insurance industry, preferably in a similar role in Luxembourg.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations in Luxembourg, including Solvency II and other relevant directives.
- Familiarity with the operations and business models of insurance companies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address compliance issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English and French is required. Knowledge of German or any other European language is a plus.
