We are recruiting for one of our clients, located in Luxembourg City an Experienced Inventory and Cost of sales Accountant for a
** consulting contract (one year) to cover a maternity and parental leave.**

**Your Responsibilities**
- Ensure that all business activities and company’s position related to inventories and cost of sales are accurately and timely reflected in Financial statements
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and control of all Inventory and Cost of Sales accounts comply with the requirements listed in the below section “Performance Standards and Expectations
- Monthly processing of Month-Ends closes including the preparation of miscellaneous journal entries adjustments or accruals (miscellaneous account segments such as Inventory, COGS, Opex, intercompany Payables and Receivables, revenue recognition adjustments )
- Monthly reconciliations of inventory balances (including Ending Inventory, Raw Materials, Goods in Transit, Work in Process and Inventory on Hold) and Intercompany receivable balances
- Standard cost maintenance and accuracy review, including Purchase Price Variance analysis.
- Financial statement reviews with subsequent justification/reporting of periodic fluctuations (Gross profit segment of Income Statement and inventories segment of Balance Sheet)
- Interact with multi-departments
- (Accounts Payables, Purchasing, Marketing, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Transfer-Pricing, Warehouse operations,) to ensure that all business activities and company’s position related to inventories and cost of sales are accurately and timely reflected in Financial statements.
- Addressing daily ad hoc queries from internal customers within the EMEA region
- Provide close assistance to
- Supervisors/Managers in:
- Processes updates, optimization, and standardization across all activities under team scope
**Your Profile**
- Finance/Accounting Bachelor is a minimum
- Highly literate with Microsoft Excel
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience in Inventory accounting is a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX / Internal Controls is advantageous
- Experienced in ERP systems (preferably Oracle)
- Ability to accurately analyze large volumes of data; be able to interpret and summarize them in report format
- Ability to work within a team environment
