**Position Overview**: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SDN Architect specializing in VMware NSX-T to lead the deployment and management of network virtualization solutions within our public administration service provider team, supporting the European Commission. As part of our dynamic and collaborative team of approximately 300 professionals, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and optimizing NSX-T deployments for data center rollouts, ensuring streamlined network configuration, advanced security, and compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

Lead VMware NSX-T Deployment**:

- Architect and lead the deployment of VMware NSX-T for data center rollouts, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement NSX-T solutions tailored to the needs of the European Commission's public administration services.
- ** Implement Automation for Network Configuration**:

- Develop and implement automation workflows to streamline network configuration processes, leveraging tools such as vRealize Automation (vRA) and Ansible.
- Drive efficiency and consistency in network provisioning and management through automation.
- ** Configure Advanced Security Layers**:

- Design and implement advanced security layers within NSX-T, including micro-segmentation, distributed firewalling, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, implementing security best practices to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure.
- ** Global Collaboration for NSX-T Solutions**:

- Collaborate with global teams to develop and maintain consistent NSX-T solutions across different geographical regions and data centers.
- Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- ** Utilize Monitoring and Troubleshooting Tools**:

- Utilize VMware vRealize Operations (vROps) and VMware vRealize Network Insight (vRNI) for monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting on NSX-T environments.
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, network anomalies, and security threats, taking timely corrective actions as needed.
- ** Documentation and Knowledge Transfer**:

- Document NSX-T configurations, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures to ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer within the team.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to empower team members with the necessary skills and expertise in NSX-T implementation and management.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Proven experience with NSX-T implementations in large-scale environments, preferably within the public sector or service provider industry.
- VMware certifications, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and VMware Certified Specialist - NSX-T Data Center, are preferred.
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts, hybrid network architectures, and integration with public cloud platforms.
- Excellent understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF **(mandatory)**

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in SDN concepts and VMware EHC Cloud (Enterprise Hybrid Cloud).
- Knowledge of network virtualization technologies such as Geneve, vSAN, and Nutanix.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and performance bottlenecks effectively.
