**Intern in the field of transportation/reinforcement learning research (f/m)**

**LISER **is looking for a motivated student to join the research teams at the _Urban Development and Mobility Department_ at LISER and the **_MobiLab _**at the University of Luxembourg within the framework of the research project « **_Multimodal Electric VEhicle demand RESponsive Transport (M-EVRST)_** ».

This internship will provide you with the opportunity to:

- Deepen your knowledge of deep learning and reinforcement learning;
- Improve your methodological and programming skills in machine learning, applied mathematics, and operations research;
- Develop a rigorous scientific research attitude and methods for solving challenging optimization problems;
- Actively participate in a stimulating research environment and innovative project teams.

**Your role**
- Develop a deep reinforcement learning approach for dynamic charging scheduling of electric fleet;
- Implement the developed algorithms (MATLAB or others); test their performance and compare them with state-of-the-art methodologies using numerical test instances;
- Academic research paper writing.

**Your profile**
- **Master student in Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Engineering** or a related discipline;
- Good background in **mathematics and/or operations researc**h;
- Good programming skills in **MATLAB** or **other languages**;
- Fluency (oral and written) in **English**, any other language would be considered as an asset.

**We offer**

A **mandatory internship agreement for a period of 3-4 months, full-time / part-time**, in a dynamic and challenging international research environment with an attractive remuneration.
