Our audit technical department ( "Department of Professional Practice" or "DPP"") is currently looking for a manager. As a short background, DPP responsibilities include responding to consultations/queries related to accounting and auditing matters received from audit managers and partners. DPP also closely follows on new emerging regulatory and legal topics which could impact the audit profession and performs pre-issuance reviews of financial statements that meet certain criteria.

Apart from the above-mentioned tasks, as a DPP Manager, you will be also involved in delivering trainings to audit managers and partners and to coordinate other firm's projects directed to audit quality. On the accounting side, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of technical topics such as going concern, modified audit opinions, different types of assurance reports, etc.

This position will allow you to work closely with audit managers and partners, being highly visible within the firm and enhance your audit experience with in-depth technical knowledge.

You will be working in a team consisting mainly of experienced managers and share the responsibilities as detailed in the job description below:
**As part of your responsibilities, you will**:

- Provide advice and prepare answers for consultations made by audit managers and partners on local accounting, legal, reporting matters
- Contribute to the analysis of relevant legal, professional and accounting documents
- Ensure proper coordination with DPP technical industry representatives, Risk Management and Learning & Development team
- Identify needs for future trainings and facilitate trainings
- Be involved in preparing materials for DPP presentations to audit managers and partners and for conferences / workshops to audit seniors and up
- Prepare ad-hoc audit tools (e.g., guidance, templates, checklists, etc.)
- Prepare the technical content for internal/external communications to be made by DPP
- Be involved in performing ISQM controls allocated to DPP
- Handle projects related to deployment of new audit tools or to emerging issues

**You will also**:

- Work closely with other KPMG functions (tax, advisory and central services) and with audit managers and partners
- Be visible in the cross-functional partners' group
- Enhance your audit experience with in-depth technical knowledge / soft skills
- Always be at the forefront of the latest professional development

**The perfect profile**:

- You are an audit manager with at least 5 years of experience in external audit
- You hold or are in the process of obtaining a professional qualification (such as IRE, ACCA, ICAS, Wirtschaftsprüfer, etc.)
- You have a sound knowledge of the audit legal environment, including the latest developments
- You have a deep knowledge of ISQC / ISQM, ISAs, audit methodology, Audit Law and EU Audit Regulation
- You are an excellent team player and is able to effectively communicate and work in team
- You have excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain strong attention to detail while working within tight deadlines
- You have a very good command of English and French. The knowledge of German will be considered as a strong asset.
