**Background.** _Pseudomonas aeruginosa_ (_P aeruginosa_) is one of the most abundant nosocomial pathogens, causing a wide variety of acute infections with severe burns. Antibodies are becoming increasingly important in immuno-oncology and might fulfill the unmet medical needs of respiratory tract infections in the coming years. Innate immunity is the first line of defence against the multidrug resistant bacteria which exploit many strategies to evade immune recognition.
As potential treatments against multi-drug resistant P. aeruginosa infection, we have developed novel Complement-activating Multimeric immunotherapeutic compleXes (CoMiX) that bind to the surface of the bacteria and enhanced complement directed cytotoxicity using Factor H Related Protein 1 or Antibody Dependent Cell-mediated Cytotoxicity using triple Fc dimers against P aeruginosa. In parallel, we have generated Bi-specific (BiKE) and Tri-specific (TriKE) NK engagers to cross-link _P. aeruginosa_ and Natural Killer cells for subsequent killing.
**KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences or Immunology.
- Prior experience in antimicrobial research and immunotherapy are requested.
- Experience in pre-clinical models of bacterial infection and mouse experimentations are mandatory.
- Technical skills in bacterial and cell cultures, immunoassays, biofilm, molecular biology, flow-cytometry, and imaging are required.
- Independent, excellent time management, rigor, perseverance, scientific creativity and originality, writing skills, sense of priority and ability to work with others.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
